NYC Terror Plot Suspect Returns to Court in Montreal Over Extradition Case

A Pakistani national from Ontario who was arrested in Quebec for allegedly plotting to kill Jews in New York City returns to court today.
Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, who has been jailed since his arrest on Sept. 4 in Ormstown, Que., is being sought by authorities in the United States to stand trial.
U.S. officials charged Khan with one count of attempting to provide material support and resources to a terrorist organization, and Canada has agreed to have him extradited.
A date for an extradition hearing is expected to be set today in Montreal in Quebec Superior Court.
U.S. and Canadian authorities allege Khan was on his way to carry out a mass shooting in support of the Islamic State at a Jewish centre in Brooklyn around Oct. 7 to mark the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel….
