The Conservative Party fundraised a record-breaking $41.8 million in 2024, which was nearly twice as much as the Liberal Party and New Democrats that year, according to data provided to Elections Canada.
“Surpassing its record-breaking fundraising year of 2023, in Pierre Poilievre’s second full year as Conservative Party Leader, the Conservative Party broke all fundraising records for any political party in Canadian history,” the party said in a Jan. 31 press release.
According to data submitted to Elections Canada, the Liberals fundraised a mere $15.2 million in 2024, while the NDP fundraised $6.3 million.
The Tories fundraised $10.7 million in the first quarter of 2024, $9.8 million in the second quarter, and $8.4 million in the third quarter. The party said that by raising $12.8 million in the fourth quarter, it also broke the record for fundraising of any political party in a single quarter….
