2 Juveniles Arrested for Alleged Involvement in Beating Motorist

LOS ANGELES—Two juveniles were arrested for their alleged involvement in the beating of a motorist by a group of teenage 20 to 30 bicyclists in broad daylight in the Carthay area of Los Angeles, authorities said Feb. 28.
The arrests followed an anonymous tip after the case was made public, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) stated.
The juveniles have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky said. Their names were withheld due to their ages.
The beating occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday near San Vicente Boulevard and Carrillo Drive, according to an LAPD statement.
