Police responded to an active shooter report on the campus of Florida State University (FSU) on April 17, with multiple people hospitalized.
The shooter was confirmed by FSUAlert, the school’s official emergency notification and warning system, shortly after 12 p.m., stating that he was in the area of the Student Union and that students were ordered to shelter in place.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced on X that it is actively engaged in the situation as well and that efforts to reach them were unsuccessful.
