OTTAWA—Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre congratulated the Liberal Party on its election victory, and said he would stay on as leader of the Conservatives.
“I thank you from the bottom of my heart to the millions of people who voted for the Conservative Party and put their hopes and dreams in our vision. It will be an honour to continue to fight for you and to be a champion,” Poilievre told supporters at the Rogers Centre in Ottawa on April 28.
The Liberals are projected to win a minority government with around 167 seats, while the Conservatives won around 145, the Bloc Québécois won 23 seats, the NDP won seven, and the Greens won one….
