In B.C., an issue involving a leak about “safer supply” drugs being trafficked has created a political controversy and a police investigation.
In February, a Ministry of Health slide show document was provided to the BC Conservative caucus by an unnamed source. The document was prepared for law enforcement and showed that about 60 pharmacies were under investigation for possible trafficking of “safe supply” drugs. It was publicized by BC MLA and public safety critic Elenore Sturko.
