A community in Eastern Ontario is mourning after a 9-year-old boy died after he was hit by a school bus while riding his bike.
The boy has been identified on social media as Archer Lowe from Almonte, Ontario.
He was hit while riding his bike near a school at around 3:40 p.m. on June 25, according to Ontario Provincial Police. Witnesses “conducted life-saving measures” for Archer at the scene, they said.
The boy was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, police said.
The Lanark County OPP is investigating.
