More than 3,000 chainsaws and pole saws sold in Canada have been recalled due to risk of laceration.
Health Canada said the tools were sold under the Worx and Yardworks brand names.
The issue is with the main switch on the chainsaws and pole saws, which can fail, allowing the saws to keep running even after the switch has been released, which presents a risk of laceration, according to a July 3 recall notice.
Positec Canada Ltd says it sold 3,028 units in Canada and 49,000 in the United States, and that it had not received any reports of injuries or incidents in either country as of June 30….
