Attorney General Pam Bondi said Sunday that 68 people were arrested overnight in Washington on Aug. 16 amid a federal takeover of law enforcement policy at the district’s police department.
More than 300 people have been arrested since the operation began earlier this month, following President Donald Trump’s move to federalize policing in the nation’s capital, according to Bondi.
“Just last night, our federal and DC law enforcement partners made 68 arrests and seized 15 illegal firearms,” Bondi stated on X. “Homicide suspects, drug traffickers, and more are being charged. I’ll continue to stand with you as we make DC safe again!”…
