Man Opens Fire on Police Officers, Killing 2 and Injuring a Third and Police Dog in Utah

A gunman killed two police officers and left another wounded on Aug. 17, authorities in Utah said.
The unidentified adult male emerged from a home and fatally shot a Tremonton Police Department officer, Brigham City Police Chief Chad Reyes told reporters on Monday.
The man then killed a second officer who was responding at the scene in Tremonton.
The man then fired into a vehicle containing a third officer, a deputy with the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department, and a police service dog, striking both.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital and veterinary clinic. They survived and are both in fair condition….
