NASA and NOAA are launching three observatories—IMAP, Carruthers Geocorona, and SWFO-L1—on a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Kennedy Space Center at 6:40 a.m. ET on Sept. 24 to study the Sun and space weather. These missions will map the heliosphere, analyze Earth’s exosphere, and monitor solar wind and coronal mass ejections to better protect our planet.
