Prime Minister Mark Carney was at the United Nations General Assembly this week where numerous developments were occurring in foreign policy amidst notable global changes and conflicts.
It was Carney’s first participation at the event in New York City as head of government, having previously served with the U.N. in a climate finance role.
It was also U.S. President Donald Trump’s first participation to the Assembly during his second term, and he threw down the gauntlet in a nearly hour-long speech before heads of states and delegates on Sept. 23.
