Health Canada has issued a recall for more than 100,000 toaster ovens over a burn hazard.
Canadians who own one of the Oster brand “French doors” toaster ovens have been advised to stop using it immediately.
Health Canada said the “French door” on the oven is spring-loaded and made of glass with metal handles. The doors can “unexpectedly close,” and is a burn hazard for consumers.
The recall is for model numbers TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDGDS, TSSTTVFDXLPP-033, and TSSTTVFDDAF-033.
Customers can find the model number on the back of the oven and on the original packaging, Health Canada said. The models differ in the cooking options available on the oven and the type of control (analog dial or digital push-button)….
