Chicago Rioter With Suspected Antifa Ties Arrested for Carrying Loaded Gun to ICE Facility

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said on Oct. 11 that federal agents arrested a Chicago rioter for allegedly carrying a loaded firearm with “multiple rounds of ammunition” during protests outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Broadview, Illinois, last month.
The DHS said the man, Elias Cepeda, was arrested at the scene on Sept. 26, and the weapon was confiscated. Cepeda, identified by the DHS as a journalist and “college professor at the University of Illinois,” is suspected of having ties to Antifa, the department said.
President Donald Trump said in a Sept. 22 executive order that he was designating Antifa as a “domestic terrorist organization,” due to “a pattern of political violence designed to suppress lawful political activity and obstruct the rule of law.”…
