Alaska Airlines Grounds All Flights Following Technology Outage

Alaska Airlines said it had grounded its flights at all airports nationwide Thursday evening after an unspecified technology outage impacted its operations.
A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory showed that the announcement also applied to Alaska Airlines’ subsidiary Horizon Air. The ground stop was requested for 1 hour starting at 8:01 p.m. ET to 9:00 p.m. ET on Oct. 23, the advisory showed.
Alaska Airlines in July briefly grounded all of its flights for roughly three hours following an information technology (IT) outage.
“Alaska Airlines is experiencing an IT outage affecting operations. A temporary ground stop is in place. We apologize for the inconvenience,” Alaska Airlines said at the time in a statement issued on social media….
