Peloton, one of the nation’s most well-known stationary bike manufacturers, is recalling over 800,000 of its Peloton Original Series Bike+ Model PL02 due to concerns about the bike’s seat post assembly.
The bike serial numbers begin with the letter “T” located inside or behind the front fork, or behind the flywheel. The bike measures 4 feet long by 2 feet wide and has an adjustable seat and handlebar.
According to a Nov. 6 notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the assembly could break during use, causing bikers to fall and sustain injuries.
Nearly 833,000 of these bike models may be affected. Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled bikes and contact Peloton for free repairs. The company is offering consumers a free seat post that can be self-installed….
