Helping Veterans One Yard at a Time

​MADISON, Ala.—Rodney Smith Jr. hopped out of his 2000 Ford truck parked outside the home of a 90-year-old Air Force veteran, and unloaded his three-wheel lawnmower.
He fiddled with the mower, which, like his pickup truck, has seen better days. The mower has been missing a wheel for a while, but it works well enough, Smith told The Epoch Times.
Smith, 36, said that repairing it would take time away from mowing lawns—free of charge—for veterans, the elderly, people with disabilities, and single parents in Huntsville and beyond.
He knocked on the door of veteran James Smith, who had worked as an electrician on B-52 bombers while on active duty with the Air Force decades ago….
