Personalities and me have travelled a lot the past two months in aim to cover exciting human stories. In one of my trips I went to Manila to participate in a Media Forum about the Childrens’ Human Rights. By my return flight I felt quite dizzy and unconsious.
Suddenly a very nice and kind person ran towards me. She has asked me how I feel, if she could assist me in any way and she stayed with me until my recovery. As a quite respectful and religious person, she brought me to an area where you could pray. Suddenly, when I saw the cross of Jesus Christ I started to cry because I knew that God is always there for us and that was a very sentimental moment which gave me the strength to move one. The Medicine First Aid team of the Manila Airport gave me medicine and relief care in aim to feel better so that I could be able to travel.
The kindness in her eyes, they way she has cared for an unknown passenger, although it was not in her work duties…Inside my fever, my body’s unstable biological situation I knew that I had in front of me an angel to take care of me, my anxiety and my insecurity. If finally I would be able to travel that night or I should postponed my flight for the next day.
Dear Jayme was always there. She even shared her phone in order to see how I am. She was such a caring and amazing person, someone I will always remember.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter if you are coming from another country, another religion or culture…like the lyrics of the song are saying…
” You are a human after all”
