Airlines Cancel Over 1,500 Flights Across the US Ahead of Winter Storm

Airlines across the United States have canceled over 1,500 flights scheduled on Dec. 26 and 27 due to the impending winter storm Devin that is set to cover the Northeastern region of the country with bad weather.
As of writing, 1,508 flights arriving or departing from a destination in the Northeastern United States were canceled, with effects on subsequent flights scheduled to use the same aircraft in different destinations. The worst-affected location was the City of New York, where all three of its major airports were the top three in the country for canceled flights by origin and destination.
At John F. Kennedy International Airport in the Borough of Queens, the worst affected nationwide, 219 or 34 percent of all inbound flights were canceled, while 153 or 23 percent of outbound flights were canceled, according to the website FlightAware….
