Company Expands Recall of Moringa Supplements Linked to Salmonella Outbreak: FDA

A supplement company this week said it is expanding a recall of moringa, a plant-based supplement, due to possible Salmonella contamination, according to a notice published by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on June 3.
New York-based Total Nutrition Inc. expanded its recall of TNVitamins and Doctor’s Pride Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood Moringa Capsules, which are sold through major retailers such as Walmart, Amazon, Target, and TikTok Shop, among others.
Moringa, a plant native to northern India, has been branded a “superfood” and is traditionally used for medicinal purposes.
The company initiated the recall after the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notified the company that the moringa products “may be implicated in an ongoing investigation associated with moringa-containing dietary supplement products.”…
