Ten additional meat and poultry companies have opted to use the “Product of USA” label on their products, making it easier for Americans to identify domestically sourced food items.
The companies are California-based Harris Ranch and One World Beef, Idaho-based Agri Beef, Georgia-based FPL Food, Hadrick Farms from South Dakota, Texas-based Fort Worth Meats, Wholestone Farms from Nebraska, Harrison’s Poultry in Illinois, Iowa-based Upper Iowa Beef, and American Foods Group from Wisconsin, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said in a July 10 statement.
Product of USA is a voluntary labeling standard that came into effect on Jan. 1. The label applies to meat, poultry, and processed egg products.
