WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump announced on Sunday via Truth Social that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to halt attacks on each other’s energy facilities, a deal aimed at easing global oil and diesel prices driven up by infrastructure damage in both countries during the war.
“Effective immediately, there is an ENERGY CEASEFIRE in the War between Russia and Ukraine,” Trump wrote in Truth Social post. “Both parties have agreed. Do not break it! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
