What are the reminiscences of your early years and a glimpse at your dreams?
Peeping into childhood is nothing but a mixed bag of emotions, with a pinch of love, some more care and a huge lot of strict discipline.
Dreams keep on metamorphosing, as we climb through the stairs of life. At this phase, I dream of a kinder and more inclusive world, as I say from my childhood a little love and kindness go a long way.
What was your motive to initiate an event like Fashion For All?
The basic idea that sprouted the show, called FASHION FOR ALL, is nothing but appreciating beauty beyond boundaries, respecting fashion in every form shape size, because I believe fashion is an attitude, a thought and shouldn’t be confined to certain standards.
What is fashion for you?
Fashion for me is an expression of your love, confidence and conviction for your own self.
Do you believe that there’s still discrimination these days?
It’s sad, but a bitter truth, that discrimination also exists in our days, and so FASHION FOR ALL platform is my small way to remove that dark patch.
Do people have the strength to face reality and their own mistakes?
People do have the strength to face reality and accept their mistakes as long as their fear of being judged is eradicated from their thought process, and comforted by compassion.
How important is the role of your family in any decision-making process?
My family is my backbone. I had a very conservative upbringing where we were taught family values to our core, and respecting differences, where ethics was an important component of thought process.
Not believing in themselves, people don’t take good care of themselves. What would you advise these people?
Telling someone to love themselves is easy, it’s always easy to preach than practice, but every good thing takes time, so is a human thought process. So, I believe we eventually learn to love ourselves in course of our lives. I am none to advise anyone anything, but I can tell what I practice. Every morning when I look at myself in the mirror, I tell myself, damn girl you are gorgeous and made it through. I believe self-affirmation is always appreciable.
What are some of your future plans?
I am a wandering soul, a dreamer at heart having a chaotic mind. So, I hope to get a hold of my chaotic grey matter, tame it to form a picturesque life in the near future.
