Thousands of Frigidaire gas range ovens are being recalled across the country following reports of dozens of injuries in both Canada and the United States.
More than 5,000 Frigidaire models sold in Canada between June 2025 and January 2026 are under recall after being linked to three reported incidents and one confirmed burn injury, Health Canada said in a March 19 advisory.
More than 174,000 units are under a similar recall south of the border after the company received 59 incident reports, including 30 injuries.
At issue is a delay in the ovens’ bake burners which can create a potential burn hazard, the advisory said.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the ovens in the recalled gas ranges and contact Electrolux Group to arrange free professional in-home installation of a new bake burner,” the advisory said. “Consumers can continue to use the cooktop burners.”…
