A Manitoba doctor who intervened while a fellow health worker was being attacked with a knife is poised to be awarded one of Canada’s highest civilian awards.
Dr. Kenneth Hahlweg will receive the Medal of Bravery this week during a March 26 ceremony at Rideau Hall.
The award recognizes Hahlweg’s actions on the afternoon of Oct. 27, 2021, when he helped save the life of a co-worker at Seven Oaks General Hospital in Winnipeg.
