Fugitive Arrested in Florida Hours After Landing on FBI’s 10 Most Wanted List

A Kansas City woman who had been wanted for nearly six years for murder was arrested on April 15, less than 24 hours after the FBI placed her on its most exclusive fugitive list and offered a $1 million reward.
KaShawn N. Roper, 50, was arrested in High Springs, Florida, just one day after being added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.
Officers pulled over a vehicle on Main Street at 10:21 a.m. on Wednesday after receiving information that the subject was connected to an active federal fugitive investigation. The arrest was made without incident.
The High Springs Police Department made the arrest with help from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshals Office. Alachua County Detention Center records indicate Roper was booked just after noon on Wednesday. No bond has been set, and no court date has been scheduled….
