Hegseth: US Forces Ready to Restart Combat If No Deal Reached; RFK Jr. Testifies on Budget in House Hearing

U.S Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said on April 16 that U.S. forces in the Middle East are “maximally postured to restart combat operations” if Iran doesn’t agree to a deal.
U.S. military forces have established a blockade on all ships seeking to enter or leave Iranian ports. Trump said in an April 14 interview with Fox News that diplomacy remains possible and that he believes that the war is “close to over.”
