A country-wide recall is underway for made-to-order window shades that could pose a choking hazard to children.
Health Canada published a recall notice for four types of blinds made by Springs Window Fashions LLC after determining they fail to meet Canadian child safety regulations.
“The end caps on the bottom rail may not be glued and can release small parts that present a choking hazard to young children,” Health Canada said in a recent advisory, noting that the company had not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada as of May 19.
The company has initiated a recall for Bali Springs Cellular shades, Cellular shades Graber Cellular shades, and Signature Series Cellular shades which were available for purchase from January 1, 2025, to April 9. A total of 37,723 of the affected blinds were sold in Canada….
