Venezuela Quake: Death Toll Rises to 589; Trump on Iran Talks: US Negotiating From Pure Strength

The death toll from two back-to-back earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to around 589, with close to 3,000 people injured, interim President Delcy Rodriguez said on Friday. She also said that the government has decided to militarize the state of La Guaira after the earthquakes.
President Donald Trump said on Thursday that after strikes on Iran, the United States is negotiating from a stronger position.
“We knocked the hell out of them, and now we’re negotiating from a position of pure strength,” he said at a dinner with American farmers in the White House Rose Garden.
