Nearly 25,000 Land Rover sport utility vehicles are being recalled in Canada because of a potential airbag problem that could increase the risk of injury during a collision.
A total of 24,658 vehicles from the automaker have been recalled across the country, Transport Canada said in a recall notice. Originally posted on June 12, the recall notice was further updated on July 8.
“On certain vehicles, the connector for the driver-front airbag in the steering wheel could corrode,” the recall notice said, adding that the issue could result in the airbag warning light activating.
“As a result, the driver-front airbag may not inflate in a crash.”…
