Missouri’s attorney general announced July 20 that she was legally challenging a county prosecutor’s right to hold public office and seeking to permanently remove her, after the prosecutor’s temporary removal following allegations of an affair with an illegal immigrant under prosecution for sexual assault.
Attorney General Catherine Hanaway published a detailed summary of her arguments Monday included in the writ of quo warranto, filed with the Circuit Court of Ray County, detailing Ray County Prosecutor Camille Johnston’s three alleged romantic affairs and possible criminal conduct.
