Elon Musk’s Music City Loop in Nashville, Tennessee, will nearly double in size, according to a July 16 revision of the tunnel’s FAQ section on its website.
The tunnel’s estimated length changed from “almost 13 miles” to “almost 25 miles.”
The Epoch Times contacted the Boring Company, Musk’s infrastructure and tunnel construction business in charge of the project, for additional information about the expansion.
The underground transit system initially aimed to transport locals and visitors in Tesla cars from the Nashville International Airport to downtown Nashville in under 10 minutes.
