President Donald Trump kicked off July Fourth celebrations on Wednesday, cutting the red ribbon to officially open the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. Trump delivered remarks during the dedication ceremony, paying tribute to Roosevelt and describing him as “a man who embodied the heart and soul and fight and spirit of our country.”
Trump told audience members that Roosevelt was “a staunch and ferocious opponent of a thing called communism,” and drew attention to an increase in support for communism in America today, following the successful primaries in New York and Colorado of Democratic Socialists.
