A woman accused of fraudulently obtaining more than $32 million in COVID-19 relief funds was returned to the United States after being arrested in Jamaica. Investigators say Elaine Angene Escoe was living under a fake identity while evading federal charges.
Hawaii’s lieutenant governor, Sylvia Luke, was indicted on bribery charges, according to the state’s Department of the Attorney General. Luke was charged on 12 counts, including bribery, conspiracy to commit bribery, and falsifying campaign finance reports. …
