A commercial truck driver has been charged after his tractor-trailer became stuck on a sharp curve on a southern Ontario roadway designated as a “no heavy truck” route.
The driver was trying to make a “tight hairpin turn” on the scenic Forks of the Credit Road in Caledon when his truck and trailer became “wedged into the guardrail,” the Caledon OPP said in a press release this week.
The Caledon road, in the northernmost part of Peel Region, was closed for more than two hours on July 24 so the truck and trailer could be extricated.
A heavy-duty tow truck was required because of the size of the vehicle, police said, but added the guardrail wasn’t damaged….
