GREENVILLE, S.C.—The special Republican primary election to replace the late Lindsey Graham as South Carolina’s Senate nominee has narrowed.
Graham’s sister, current Sen. Darline Graham (R-S.C.), and Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C) will advance to an Aug. 25 runoff.
As of 9:07 p.m., with approximately 83 percent of the vote counted, Graham had 32.6 percent of the vote to 24.1 percent for Norman. Rep. Russell Fry (R-S.C.) fell short, coming in at third with 20.4 percent of the vote.
The winner of the Republican contest faces the Democratic nominee, Dr. Annie Andrews, in November.
