Manitoba Property Owner Charged After Shots Fired at Vehicles of Suspected Thieves

A Manitoba man is facing charges after allegedly firing shots toward the vehicles of four individuals suspected of stealing from his property.
Pembina Valley RCMP said officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at a rural property in the Rural Municipality of Dufferin on Aug. 15, according to an Aug. 18 news release.
Officers conducted an investigation and determined that four suspects had visited the private rural property earlier the same day and then returned that evening in two vehicles, which police said were stolen from Watrous, Sask.
The 66-year-old property owner was alerted by a motion camera, police say, and went outside to see “suspects transferring fuel from a portable container into one of the stolen vehicles….
