Minister of National Defence David McGuinty welcomed the new agreement between the United States and Denmark over the security of Greenland.
said a security deal between the United States and Denmark over Greenland was “encouraging” while speaking to reporters on Parliament Hill on Sept. 19.
“It’s encouraging if the United States has found an agreement with Greenland. It’s encouraging if they’ve found a way forward together to protect that particular flank,” McGuinty said, while also outlining Canada’s own efforts toward the defence of the Arctic.
