Judge Pushes Deadlocked Jury to Reach Verdict in Lindsay Clancy Trial

The fifth day of deliberations in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial ended with no verdict on Sept. 2 as jurors reiterated they remained at an impasse.
Judge William Sullivan encouraged the deadlocked jury to dive deeper into opposing views and ordered discussions to resume at the Plymouth Superior Court in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on Thursday morning.
Sullivan told the jury on Wednesday that nobody knows if a new group of people would be “more intelligent, more impartial or more competent to decide it than you are.”
The jury first revealed on Tuesday that they were having issues reaching a unanimous decision.
Clancy, 36, is accused of killing her three young children while her now-ex-husband was running errands in January 2023….
