DeSantis Gives Major Update on Hurricane Isaias

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis confirmed that hundreds of thousands of people were without power after Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin, Florida, as a Category 2 storm on Oct. 9.
DeSantis told reporters during a press conference on Saturday that 448,000 people in Florida were without power as of 7 a.m. In some counties, such as Santa Rosa County, Holmes County, Washington County, and Walton County, over 80 percent of residents were without power, he said.
In addition, over 320,000 people in Alabama and over 125,000 people in Georgia were without power on Saturday morning, according to poweroutage.us.
