With less than one month to go before Thanksgiving Day, Walmart has announced its 2026 Holiday Meal Basket that will serve 10 people for a total of $35, or $3.50 per person, the lowest price since the introduction of the program in 2022.
In its Oct. 28 announcement, the retail giant noted that this year’s basket will include 26 items—18 percent more food than last year. Walmart also noted that the cost of those same items is 12 percent lower than last year.
The basket features a Butterball turkey at $0.97 per pound, Stove Top stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, both green bean and sweet potato casseroles, Jiffy corn muffin mix, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie with whipped topping, among other items….
