RCMP Officer Charged With Uttering Threats Directed at Donald Trump

An RCMP officer has been charged in connection with threats posted online directed at U.S. President Donald Trump.
RCMP Federal Policing Eastern Region announced on June 17 that officer Evenson Dumerlus, 34, of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., has been charged with uttering threats in connection with an alleged Snapchat post made while he was deployed on G7 security operations in Alberta in June 2025.
The post is said to have been made during security duties tied to the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Alta., which was attended by Trump.
The RCMP said a fellow officer reported Dumerlus’s video, which allegedly contained “threatening comments” directed toward the president. Following an investigation, he was removed from his duties the same day the incident was brought to attention….
