Knicks Accept White House Invitation After Championship Win, Owner Says

The New York Knicks have accepted an invitation to visit the White House after winning the franchise’s first NBA championship since 1973, owner James Dolan said Wednesday.
They will be the first NBA champions to visit the White House during a Trump administration.
Dolan announced the news during an interview on WFAN’s “Carton Show,” less than a week after the team ended a 53-year title drought.
“We just did receive an invitation from the White House which we accepted. We still have to figure out the details,” said Dolan, who described President Donald Trump as a friend.
