The revelations by Prime Minister Mark Carney that the Canadian military, with his support, has prepared for the possibility of a U.S. military invasion have understandably generated a lot of passionate discussion.
Some of the discussion has been reasonable. Some, not so much. It’s the sort of thing we want to address sensibly and with a cool head.
So let’s dissect what was actually said, how the word got out, and what we should make of it all.
