Vitamin C Allergy Products Recalled Due to Undeclared Allergens

A supplement company said it is recalling vitamin C allergy products that were distributed around the United States due to undeclared ingredients that could pose problems for some people with allergies.
An announcement posted on March 27 on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website said that Blueroot Health in Connecticut is recalling two lots of Vital Nutrients Aller-C dietary supplements after capsules were found to have undeclared ingredients that could be allergenic to some people. They include egg, hazelnut, and soy that were not declared on the label.
“People who have allergies and/or severe sensitivity to egg, hazelnut, and soy run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product,” the statement said….
