Celtics Trade Former Finals MVP Jaylen Brown to 76ers

The Boston Celtics traded former Finals MVP Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers on July 1 for Paul George and draft capital, ESPN’s “NBA Insider” Shams Charania reported.
Boston received first-round picks in 2028 and 2031, and 2028 and 2030 second-round picks as part of the deal.
“By today, [the Celtics] were actively shopping, full-blown shopping, Jaylen Brown around the league, trying to get teams’ best offers in,” Charania said. “My understanding is Jaylen Brown, throughout all this, never requested a trade. He never asked out of Boston. This was all the Celtics.”
Boston originally offered Brown and two first-round picks in a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who Milwaukee eventually traded to the Miami Heat on June 22….
