When Payton Obert was 6 years old, she set out to repay a kind gesture that had uplifted her.
She cherished a teddy bear that the local hospital gifted to her during a stay when she was 2. Four years later, long recovered from that medical problem, she was still grateful for her constant companion, “Teddy.”
