Severe Weather Cuts Power to More Than 373,000 Residents Across US

More than 373,000 customers in the United States were without electricity on July 6 as severe storms swept through parts of the country, causing widespread damage.
Pennsylvania was the hardest-hit state, with more than 50,000 customers without power, followed by Michigan, Louisiana, and New Jersey, which also recorded some of the highest numbers of power outages, according to data from PowerOutage.com.
Pennsylvania’s PPL Electric Utilities said in its latest update on July 6 that it had restored power to more than 225,000 customers since the storm began on Sunday.
