Saskatoon police have charged a man following an investigation into eggs being thrown at a Saskatoon building and several vehicles associated with a faith-based organization.
The 31-year-old Dundurn man turned himself in to the Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters on Aug. 13, police said in the latest update, issued on Aug. 14. He was charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000.
“As a police service, we recognize the significance of incidents that target faith-based communities and the impact on their sense of safety and belonging,” Superintendent James Oliver said.
Police initially issued a news release about the incident on Aug. 5, saying that it was investigating an incident that occurred on Aug. 1 when a building and vehicles at a faith-based organization in the 700 block of McKinnon Avenue South were vandalized with eggs….
