A federal judge has declined to halt a Missouri Supreme Court contempt hearing for Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins over which congressional map the state will use in November.
The new court order denying the state’s request to block the hearing was issued before midnight on Sept. 9. The hearing is scheduled to move forward on Sept. 10.
The state high court had previously directed Hoskins not to use a Trump administration-backed map approved by the Legislature in 2025 in the Nov. 3 general election.
